The biggest blowout in a Super Bowl game in NFL history was the San Francisco 49ers matchup against the Denver Broncos. In the January 28, 1990 game, the 49ers just pummeled the Broncos with a 55-10 banger. The game was led by Joe Montana and Jerry Rice where they connected seven times for three touchdowns.

The second biggest knockout in the Super Bowl was the Chicago Bears vs the New England Patriots in 1986. The Bears scored 36 more points than the Patriots. The final score of the game was 46-10. The third such game was the Seahawks vs the Broncos. In this game, which was played on February 2, 2014, the Seahawks’ final score was 43 and they halted the Broncos at 8 points only.

Another Super Bowl blowout was the 1993 game between the Dallas Cowboys and Bills. In that game, the Cowboys were 52 and the Bills ended up at 17 points only. And who would forget the legendary duo of Michael Irvin and Troy Aikman of that game? And then the fifth such game was Washington vs the Broncos, where Washington crushed the Broncos with 32 more points. The final score of the game was 42-10. The Chiefs were close to making infamous history

The fans are wondering if the Chiefs could break the record of the Jan. 22, 1984, Super Bowl blowout. In 1984, the Oakland Raiders scored 29 more points against Washington. And to cut a long story short, the Eagles were 28 points ahead of the Chiefs in the third quarter. The Chiefs, who were aiming for the three-peat, were struggling in the Super Bowl LIX. At the end of the third quarter, the Eagles were 28 points ahead of the Chiefs (34-6).

And in Q4 when the clock was ticking at 03:48, the score gap had already widened by 34 points. But later the Chiefs scored a touchdown to make it 28. To talk about the offense, the Chiefs’ superstar QB was intercepted two times. But the reality? The final score on the board was 40-22.
