But let’s not forget Patrick Mahomes and the team have an art of coming back too!

Patrick Mahomes and Chiefs comeback ranks where?

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs were facing off against the 49ers in Super Bowl LIV. And in that game, they made a comeback from 20-10 late in the third quarter. Yes!

They scored 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter, leading the team to a 31-20 victory. Till date, this is referred to as the second best comeback in NFL history. Other than this, the NFL has also seen three 10-point comebacks – in Super Bowl XXII (which was won by Washington over Denver), Super Bowl XLIV (won by Saints over Colts), and Super Bowl XLIX (won by Patriots over Seattle).

So, now in order to win this Super Bowl LIX game, the Chiefs needed to deliver an all-time comeback. As the Chiefs were at 6 against Eagles’s 34 in the third quarter, they indeed needed to play big at the time. If Patrick Mahomes’s Chiefs would have been able to do this, they would have been on the first rank of making a huge comeback in NFL history. But that didn’t happen!

Patrick Mahomes’s Chiefs not only failed to create this comeback history. In addition, they failed to make 3-peat history, as the Eagles kept the ball possession for most of the time in the game. Nevertheless, the Eagles’s fans are finally happy to win the Super Bowl after 2018. The 7-year drought just ended for them!
