Davante Adams is seeking an ideal trade. He wants to join the team where he knows the quarterback. However, the Raiders want the competitor team to match the price point they have set for the receiver. They want the money. WR wants a fast out. So we got the deciding factor. Dollars! But it looks much easier than it is.

Teams have already splurged on getting the best. Hence, many teams might outright reject his trade-in request. Let’s check how much money the NFL teams have in the bank for the WR.

Which AFC teams can acquire Davante Adams?

First, let’s check the cap spaces of AFC West teams. Chiefs ($4,643,567) are interested in WR. But Broncos ($5,910,825 and Chargers ($8,539,323) are a little ahead with more cap space than the Chiefs. Back-to-back Super Bowl winners want to add a wide receiver as Rashee Rice got injured. Adams will give them the necessary push for a 3-peat.

In the AFC East, the Patriots ($35,953,874) and Dolphins ($22,691,299) have bigger amounts than the Bills ($3,159,249) and Jets ($16,658,868). However, the Jets have Aaron Rodgers. And Davante Adams would discuss with the QB before committing to any team.

The AFC North has some interesting competition. The Browns ($44,005,764) have a clear edge over the Ravens ($4,627,393), the Bengals ($9,145,524), and the Steelers ($13,088,847).

In AFC South, all the teams are at a similar level of cap space, which are the Texans ($7,880,737), Colts ($12,225,691), Jaguars ($15,540,420), and Titans ($14,459,093).

It’s clear! In the race to acquire Davante Adams, the Browns sit at the top of cap space, followed by the Patriots and the Dolphins. But that’s only AFC. Let’s check the other conference.

What is the cap space of NFC teams?

In the NFC West, the 49ers ($55,088,708) are miles ahead of the Rams ($4,262,645), the Cardinals ($22,512,264), and the Seahawks ($12,302,410). However, the niners might not be looking for a WR.

The Cowboys ($25,002,779) and Commanders ($26,240,550) have sizeable cap space and are much ahead of the Giants ($3,715,285) and Eagles ($11,230,426) in the NFC East. The Commanders tried to grab Brandon Aiyuk but pulled out later. Now, they want to bolster their offense by bringing the veteran to the fold.

The Buccaneers ($11,616,350) are ahead of everyone else in NFC South, which has Falcons ($9,726,081), Panthers ($674,503), and Saints ($4,573,865). Saints are a little interested in the trade as Derek Carr and Davante Adams previously played and know each other’s playing style.

The NFC North has Bears ($7,202,326), Lions ($40,964,137), Packers ($15,128,760), and Vikings ($14,218,562). Lions lead the other three to buy Davante Adams.
