Some of us can only dream of having parents like Adoree Jackson had. They were not only supportive of their son’s ambitions of playing football. Jackson’s parents were always beside him through thick and thin up to his journey in the NFL. When Jackson had to leave his hometown, Illinois, to play for USC, he was visibly upset, “It was rough leaving my parents. But I had them, as examples as to how to figure out what to do while I’m out here in California.”

Jackson was not alone in South California, no matter how far away his parents were. His dad used to tow a massive grill across the country every week. So that the whole family could tailgate together before the USC games. Even when the Titans selected Jackson as their first-round pick in 2017, his dad didn’t stop. Instead, it became easier for him as it only took four hours to drive from St.Louis to Music City.

Who are Adoree Jackson’s parents?

As you might already know, Christopher Jackson, Jackson’s dad, loves spending time with everyone. “It’s not even like you gotta be family. He’s literally nice to every single person he meets,” as per then-Titans cornerback. Well, Christopher didn’t even care about whom he was greeting or talking with, “I’ll walk up on the BBQ and see him hugging someone or talking to someone for like five minutes straight.” But when Jackson asked his dad whether he knew that person, Christopher was like, “Son, I’m not even sure who that was. But he was a really nice guy.”

While talking about his dad’s lack of social anxiety, Jackson also revealed a quality he has probably got from his dad. “Thinking back on those days, as a grown man. I realize that that’s where I get my talkative side out there on the field from my dad.” After sharing with us the qualities of his dad, Jackson moved on to his mother, Vianca. Some of you might already know Vianca when she was honored as the 12th Titan in 2017.

It was during the NFL’s Crucial Catch campaign. Their goal was to spread awareness about people with cancer. And the scary thing is that Adoree didn’t even know that his mom was suffering from breast cancer in college. Because Vianca didn’t want Adoree to know until she was cancer-free, “I didn’t want to hurt him. When I told him, his eyes got scrunchy, and he started to get emotional. But God…Satan tried to get me, but God told him, That’s my child. Momma’s good. It’s gone.” As for Vianca, she also revealed that Jackson’s first love was not football. Instead, he wanted to be the next Michael Jordan.

Where did the Giants CB grow up?

Would you believe it if we said that Giants CB Adoree Jackson used to play NBA 2k at one time? Well, yeah, he did, and Jackson was often angry if he didn’t win. One time, when Jackson forgot to use Kevin Durant in his game, he was fuming after the loss, “I ended up losing by one point. I was so mad.” Even his mother spoke about Jackson’s competitive nature growing up, “Adoree has always been like that. From birth. He has to win at everything. I tell him, Baby, you can’t win every game. You have to take your losing as well as your winning. He listens. But it’s hard.” Can you really blame Adoree Jackson for being this competitive? He looked up to Michael Jordan, afterall.

Well, you could be thinking that Jackson adored Jordan’s basketball skills. But that’s where you are wrong. Jackson loved Jordan, the actor, for his role in the movie “Space Jam.” His mother later on revealed, “He watched it so much, he started walking like Jordan. When he looks at something, he’ll dissect it. He would say. I can walk like that. I can talk like that, I can move just like that.” As for the Jacksons, they grew up in a small neighbourhood called Belleville.

From there, Jackson completed his high school as a freshman. But later went on to join Junipero Serra High School in California. And we all know what happened after that, as Jackson now finds himself playing with the New York Giants in his 8th season in the NFL.
