“He makes it hard for people to get big shots on him. He is a slippery guy and has great feet and a great change of direction. He doesn’t take a lot of big hits, and that allows him to be fresh.” This is how Ameer Abdullah‘s college coach Bo Pelini praised him. Abdullah, a Las Vegas Raiders running back, played college football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers before entering the NFL.

Growing up in Homewood, Alabama, Abdullah always had a passion for football. Abdullah’s parents noticed his dedication to the sports even before his college football started. He is the youngest of his siblings raised by his parents, Kareem and Aisha. Being born in a Muslim family, he has always followed fasting and praying five times a day even during the football season. He says fasting makes him mentally strong. Abdullah’s discipline and dedication to religious practices come from his parents. So, who are Ameer’s parents Kareem Abdullah and Aisha Abdullah?
