After winning his first Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles, punter Braden Mann became a household name in the league. He punted twice in the game. And he is part of the team this season too, thanks to his two-year extension deal with the Eagles. Drafted in the same year as Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow, Mann quickly found a place for himself in the league.

How did Pam and Jim Mann meet?

This is also where she met her husband, Jim Mann. The couple later married, settled in Texas, and raised two children, Braden and Kylee. While growing up in Texas, the punter still had a connection with where his mother grew up.

She fondly recalled her son’s love for the town during her interview with the New London Journal. There isn’t much information about Mann’s father.

What are the ethnicities of Braden Mann’s parents?

Braden Mann’s parents’ ethnicity isn’t officially documented, though publicly available profiles and images suggest they are Caucasian and an all-American family.

How is Braden Mann’s relationship with his parents?

Pam revealed that Mann shared a deep connection with the city as well as his grandparents.  “He loved going to my parents every Christmas and summer,” Mann’s mother recalled. “He kicked on the New London field several times when we were back.”

After spending his childhood in Texas and his occasional visits to his grandparents’ house, Mann went to Texas A&M University for his education and stepped into his football career. His love for the sport may have begun when he started learning taekwondo.

He started practicing taekwondo at around age 3 because his parents wanted him to learn discipline and values. He continued with it until he was about 13 or 14. And he believes that being in taekwondo kept him from being a hyperactive kid because it tired him out, which his parents appreciated.

This experience shaped him. In an interview with the Eagles’ team, he opened up about how Taekwondo and his parents contributed to his growth.

“The commitment for me was the big one that I learned early,” Mann said, “I was so committed to that and my parents held me accountable with it, and that kind of translated to every aspect of school or football or whatever it may be. That was the main part I took from it.”

That commitment is visible in his game. Drafted by the New York Jets, he had a short stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers for one year. And thanks to the sport that he had learnt from a young age, it will continue to motivate and guide him in the NFL.
