Freeney and his wife, Brittany, tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in 2019. The couple are parents to two young daughters. Olivia, the elder daughter, is three years old, and Alana is one year old. Freeney, along with his wife and daughters, resides in West Palm Beach, Florida. Time and again, he posts adorable snapshots of his two little girls on his social media.

As Alana Jade Freeney turned one this April 25, Dwight Freeney took to his Instagram profile, @dwightfreeney, to post a heartwarming photo from the celebrations. He captioned it, “Happy 1st Birthday to my sweet baby girl Alana, we love you so much!”

Later, on Father’s Day, he made another lovely post with his daughters by his side, as he cherished the overwhelming feeling of being a father. Dwight Freeney posted, “Being a father has been the greatest gift of my life and I learned from the best.”

On one occasion, he shared a snap of his elder daughter Olivia clutching a football. He captioned the post, “My competition looks a little different these days 😂.” Dwight Freeney has also publicly addressed his feelings of embracing fatherhood, adding a humorous take on it.

Changing diapers was a challenge” for Dwight Freeney as a father

Sharing insights about his experience as a father, Freeney once humorously mentioned that he has become a diaper-changing pro. During an episode of the Art of Fatherhood podcast, he remarked, “Changing diapers was a challenge at first, but now I’m a pro at it,” given his solid experience with both his daughters, Olivia and Alana.

Speaking of his love for his daughter, he considers them his whole world, mentioning how they’ve “got him wrapped around their little finger.”

He even disclosed that they don’t care about his Hall of Fame status, remarking with a jest, “The jacket could be gold, brown or black. It doesn’t matter. I get, ‘Daddy, feed me. I’m hungry.'” Freeney indeed enjoys the playful challenges of parenting, as he loves being a dad to his two beautiful daughters. For his daughters, he sets aside his football achievements to spend quality time with them, finding solace and rejuvenation in their presence.
