Isiah Pacheco’s mom and dad

The Pacheco’s hail from Vineland, New Jersey. Though there are not many details, it is believed that Isiah’s father, Julio Pacheco, ran a family business in New Jersey. Julio Pacheco is of Puerto Rican descent. Besides, he was a regular courtside presence in Isiah Pacheco’s games when he played for Vineland’s school football team. We are yet to learn if Pacheco Sr and his family will make it to Las Vegas to cheer for their son while he pursues his second Super Bowl ring.

Speaking of the Chiefs running back’s mother, Felicia Cannon, little is known about her employment. Similar to Julio Pacheco, she would also rarely miss her son’s action when he was playing for Vineland.

Besides, stories have it that Felicia even cooked meals for the Vineland team on certain special occasions. Julio and Felicia are pillars of support for Isiah Pacheco to this day. But behind this precious bond is a devastating tragedy that rocked the Pacheco household.

Pacheco overcame the tragic loss of his siblings

When Isiah Pacheco was still a high schooler, his brother Travoise Cannon lost his life, as a result of a break-in in his apartment complex in 2016. Still recovering from Travoise’s loss, Pacheco lost his sister Celeste, who was also murdered in South Jersey. Stories have it that, Pacheco played a game for Vineland shortly after his sister’s burial. Despite coaches asking him to sit out in mourning, the game was the last resort for the then-teenager to release himself from the gruesome reality.

To this day, Pacheco spends a few moments in silence before a game, saying prayers for his departed siblings. Furthermore, he has immortalized Travoise and Celeste in mural tattoos on his right arm. The 24-year-old has now come a long way after such a devastating episode. After the loss of their two children, Julio and Felicia bonded more closely with Isiah Pacheco. It is perhaps that bond and love that made Pacheco the Super Bowl winner he is today.
