When did Jim Nantz & Courtney Richards get married?

Courtney Richards met Jim Nantz in the course of his first divorce. Courtney Richards worked as vice president at IMG, the talent management company that represented Nantz. How much did Jim Nantz pay ex-wife Ann-Lorraine Carlsen Nantz in alimony?

Of course, before Nantz met Richards, he was married to Ann-Lorraine Carlsen Nantz. They got married in 1983, and it lasted 26 years before things fell apart. The issue was that the two didn’t share the same interest in sports or broadcasting. Nantz was married to his job, and couldn’t dedicate enough time to home or family. The frequent travel just didn’t make things feasible for them in the long run.

When they did eventually file for divorce, the judge wrote in his decision, “As frequently happens in marriages of lengthy duration, the parties do not have the same interest and ardor for their spouses’ endeavors.” Ann-Lorraine was awarded a favorable verdict. Nantz was ordered to play $72,000 a month in alimony until either her death or re-marriage, and another $1,000 a week in child support. All in all, that comes out to just about $916,000 a year combined. While a hefty chunk, with his net worth at an estimated $15 million, he can shoulder the burden.
