It is reminiscent of Victor Cruz’s TD celebration, which Mike Sullivan, the former QB coach told him to do.

After the last 2 games, especially after the game against the Commanders, DeVito was handed the reigns to the New York Giants in lieu of Daniel Jones’ absence. He is now the acting QB1 for the Giants, and they are not regretting the decision. We saw him celebrating with the gesture as his mom and dad cheered from the sideline, mimicking the QB1.

Apparently, he and Victor Cruz are still in cohorts, as he did some off-season workouts with him a couple of months ago.
