Chicago Bears, who are trailing 1-1 so far, have their third game of the season today and we will see its quarterback wearing a wristband during the match. Not every signal-caller is spotted with one in the middle of the field, so the Bears must be preparing for some big changes in their usual offensive plays.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport credited Stacey Dales for reporting that Williams has made a choice for the team’s latest game against the Colts. As per the reporter, the Bears quarterback will wear a wristband for the first time.

He has made this decision “with hopes of having a faster and cleaner operation.” Rapoport called it a “smart adjustment“. This is a big decision coming after the team’s loss to the Texans during the second week of the ongoing regular season.

For those who are confused right now, the ‘wristband’ here refers to the band that hugs a QB’s non-throwing wrist with a list of plays that the team has prepared, along with corresponding codes and numbers.

This will allow Caleb Williams to just call out a simple number rather than an entire play sequence. While the Bears will be facing the Colts with a 0-2 record as of now, one shouldn’t undermine one’s opponent in the NFL.

Since the Colts are hosting the game this weekend, it will surely add to the pressure and the Bears may not succeed in winning.
