Palmer mentioned that he got emotional upon his retirement and dubbed Kelce as “one of his favorite players in the league” and called him “brutally honest.” The NFL insider mentioned how Kelce “shoots it straight” and “makes time for everybody,” implying that these were Kelce’s Hall of Fame-worthy qualities. He recalled Kelce getting inducted in the league without a “single division offer” as a fullback, being asked to play center later and reinvent himself.

Ex-Vikings LB Todd Davis chimed into the conversation and talked about Kelce’s athleticism. Davis had a hard time dealing with Kelce and “getting past him” because he was a fullback initially, which gave him an unusual athleticism, making it difficult for any pass rusher to get through. Indeed, these distinctive qualities are why Kelce might be a potential First Ballot Hall of Famer.

Will Kelce become a First Ballot Hall of Famer?

It’s difficult to say for now. But many rumors say he will be a potential First Ballot Hall of Famer. It’s a long process, but it would mean that Kelce will be inducted into the HOF in the 2029 season. Professionally, he has an extensive and compelling resume that might help him get into the HOF.

Kelce is a 7x Pro Bowler, is 6x First Team All-Pro, has won a Lombardi, and has a franchise record for most consecutive starts for 13 seasons, not to mention that people from Philadelphia and the whole country love him for his personality.

“I got my toughness, aggression, and lunch-pail mentality from my father, and from my mother, I learned that all-too-important lesson of never letting anyone tell you what you can’t do,” Kelce said in his retirement speech and added, “So this all brings us here to today, where I announce I am retiring.”

We will hopefully see him inducted into the Hall of Fame soon, and the NFL might make an exception soon, just like they did with Tom Brady.
