The Arizona Cardinals are slugging it out with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Just when we thought the game couldn’t get much more exciting, Mother Nature decided to interfere. For the first time in a while, the Cardinals were in a favorable position, leading against the Steelers. Things aren’t particularly going well for the home team as they also had a major impact on their roster as their QB1 Kenny Pickett suffered an injury.

Now, moving ahead, various sources indicate that the game might be a bit slow going forward. At the moment, the Acrisure Stadium seems short of cheers and screams. The game is on an unexpected trajectory, to say the least. Can the Pittsburgh Steelers still clutch it against one of the worst-performing teams in the league this season amidst the challenges of nature?

The Arizona Cardinals took to X to update that the game at Acrisure Stadium will be delayed at least till 3 p.m. ET. The nature has left this game with a huge cliffhanger. This occurred just when the Cardinals were leading ahead of the Steelers with 7 points as they were 10-3 overall. The game currently is delayed due to adverse weather as the Stadium experiences heavy rain and lightning, making it unsafe to play any further.

The delay was further extended after the Cardinals took the much-needed extended lead of 17-3 in the third quarter. Priorly, with 15 seconds before the first half ended, the Cardinals managed to squeeze in a 99-yard drive against the struggling Steelers, which led to a 5-point touchdown. This happened when Kyler Murray passed to Trey McBride.

Can the Steelers make a comeback without their QB1?

Kenny Pickett is among the few players in the league who have a higher EPA (expected points attained) in the last quarter of the game. With him ruled out and the Cardinals leading by a landslide, the possibility of clutching it out remains questionable at best for the Steelers. What Pickett doesn’t do in the first three quarters; he makes up for it in the last one. But that’s not an option anymore.

Although this win would do wonders for the Cardinals’ morale, it doesn’t do much for them season-wise. Just a single win for the present 2-10 Cardinals would not do any favor for their already blemished record. As for the Steelers, it’s a dent in the Steel City team’s armor, especially at such a crucial stage. With all matters coming out, which side are you on? Let us know in the comments below!

One take at a time

Basketball has stuck with me ever since I was a kid. I remember watching Kobe Bryant sometime in 2008 and being blown away. Like every kid my age, I was utterly taken aback by his moves and abilities as an athlete.
