Last year, Randi Mahomes gave us a tour of the family’s home in Tyler, Texas. This was the place where scraped knees met championship dreams and childhood turned into legacy. She walked us through hallways lined with framed jerseys, family portraits, and tender reminders of Patrick’s early dreams. A Texas Tech football jersey and a magazine cover photo capture his collegiate years, while cutouts and childhood photos of Patrick and his siblings radiate nostalgia. A mannequin affectionately named “Travis” stood dressed in a Pro Bowl jersey of the tight end Travis Kelce’s number, one of many thoughtful items that blend NFL prestige with personal history.

One of the most emotionally resonant spaces is Patrick’s former bedroom, now reimagined as a game room for his younger sister Mia. While the room is brightened by multicolored jerseys and a Pro Bowl-signed football she loves to play with, its roots remain grounded in Patrick’s journey. A photo of him hangs across from an image of Kobe Bryant. Randi revealed treasures like Patrick’s letterman jacket and a bejeweled Chiefs football signed after a Super Bowl party. But now, it seems that chapter is officially coming to a close.

Last week, it was revealed that Patrick’s childhood home is for sale for $285,000. The listing describes the home as being “on a quiet street at 3110 Oleander Dr.,” offering both privacy and convenience. The property is a 1,475-square-foot, three-bedroom, two-bathroom space packed with modern updates. Also quoting that, “you’ll love the beautifully updated kitchen featuring new countertops, a sleek backsplash, KitchenAid appliances, and updated lighting.”  The house that has been on the market for some time now is yet to be sold, so finally, Mama Mahomes stepped up.

Taking to X this week, Randi dropped a simple but loaded caption on her story: “For sale😉” with a photo of the house, which redirected to the sales website. The words were short, but the weight behind them was unmistakable. The post confirmed what fans were already whispering—Randi has officially listed the Tyler, Texas home for sale.

The listing agent, Tristan Mosher, even offers private showings for those hoping to step into the same space where Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes once tossed his first football. The listing of the house come after Patrick teamed up with his wife, Brittany, and his brother Jackson to gift Randi a $825,000 newly constructed home in Texas.

It was a moment of overwhelming joy, something Randi captured in another Instagram post: “Home is where the heart is—and my heart is full! Beyond grateful for my amazing family and my grandbabies for this incredible blessing. Being a Mom and Grandi is the greatest joy of my life, and I’m so thankful for the love that surrounds me every day. Here’s to new memories, laughter, and love in this beautiful new home!” Despite her delight and pushing for the sale of her old house, letting go hasn’t been easy for Randi.

In a recent post, Randi admitted, “There were a lot of tears and laughter and memories in that house.” But she prepares to move forward: “Now I have a large space for those grandbabies. It’s time to let a new family start to build their dream there now. Being a Mom and Grandi is the greatest joy of my life, and I’m so thankful for the love that surrounds me every day. Here’s to new memories, laughter, and love in this beautiful new home!”

While parting with the home has stirred up deep emotions, Randi’s journey hasn’t stopped—in fact, it’s only grown more inspiring in recent months.

From home builder to community pillar: Randi Mahomes’s quiet rise continues

Despite the difficulties, she remains optimistic, recently tweeting, “Have the best day…❤️”, a message that resonated with many of her followers. Even as the “For Sale” sign goes up, Randi Mahomes is planting roots elsewhere—this time in community work, not real estate. She launched Sports Parent Academy, a heartfelt initiative aimed at guiding fellow parents navigating the high-stakes world of youth sports.

It’s deeply personal work for Randi, who raised a future MVP while working full time as a school administrator and managing everything on her own. “There were moments I doubted myself,” she once shared in a local interview, “but I always knew my kids were my purpose.” That kind of honest reflection is at the core of her new mission—giving other sports parents a voice and support system she once lacked.

Her presence is also growing offline. From speaking at Field Fest in Green Bay to showing up at women’s empowerment panels across Texas, Randi is carving out a role far beyond the sidelines. She often credits her struggles as a young single mom for giving her the grit to speak now. “My biggest win isn’t what you see on Sundays,” she told an audience earlier this year. “It’s raising good humans—and holding tight to what really matters.”

That warmth and grounded energy runs in the family, too. Just last week, one of Randi’s longtime friends posted a heartwarming Instagram story featuring a candid moment with her, captioned: “Such a cool character, humorous and down-to-earth—no wonder how Patrick is so successful.” Moments like these reveal the woman behind the quarterback—the mom who stayed real through fame.
