“Y’all Finna Pay”: Patriots Rookie Javon Baker’s 1st Reaction After Being Picked by Jerod Mayo in the 2024 NFL Draft

Javon Baker might just be the New England Patriots’ new fire starter. While the Patriots are firing from all cylinders to save their dwindling dynasty. And now without Bill Belichick at the helm; Robert Kraft and HC Jerod Mayo are working like Trojans to make a comeback.

And fueling this fire is their latest recruit UCF Knights Wide Receiver. Minutes after being drafted by the New England Patriots with pick no.110, Baker went live on Instagram and amped up the Patriots’ mojo for naming this NFL season to themselves.

Patriots reporter Zac Ventola took to social media platform ‘X’ to share Javon Baker’s statement from his Instagram live. Ventola’s post read, New #Patriots WR Javon Baker on Instagram Live: ‘It took too long. I’ll show y’all a**…it took too long’ He’s ready to prove everybody wrong.”

Baker, 22, spent his first two seasons at Alabama before transferring to UCF for his last two collegiate seasons, earning First-team All-Big 12 honors in 2023.  In 46 career games, Baker recorded 117 receptions for 2,051 yards and 13 touchdowns. Whether Baker will be the one to make the Patriots rise from their ashes remains to be seen.
