Zach’s role model

Mike Wilson’s upbringing was marked by challenges from an early age. He was born in Washington while his father served in the military. But the family returned to their native Hawaii when he was just a toddler, and he grew up in Oahu. Raised by his single mother in tough circumstances, Mike took on significant responsibility for his sisters’ upbringing, especially after the tragic loss of one sister to a brain tumor at the age of 9.

Despite the absence of his father throughout his childhood, Mike was determined to break the cycle and provide a better upbringing for his own children. His dedication to fatherhood earned him admiration and respect, with his son Zach, describing him as the greatest influence in both his athletic and personal development. “He is a very powerful guy. He wants what is best for you. Critical when critical is needed, when it is that time. That is really what makes him who he is. I mean, he is a great, loving person.”
