It would seem as though Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson had a bone to pick with the Philadelphia Eagles fans. He was supposed to appear at Wrestlemania 40. He did, but he was a bit late to the party. This aggravated the fans, who booed the wrestling sensation even further when they learned that Jalen Hurts was the reason behind him being late.

The Eagles Nation didn’t waste time and took to X to share the incident. The Rock is a huge football fan, and it would only make sense to do some homework before he headed to the home of the Eagles. But being as straightforward as the wrestler is, he got himself into some trouble after he took the QB’s name.

The Rock slanders Jalen Hurts at Wrestlemania 40
The WWE wrestler gave his fans one more reason to be aggravated after he explained the real reason behind showing up late to the party. Eagles Nation’s post, that showed what went down was captioned, “The Rock, after being over 90 minutes late to his appearance at a #WrestleMania event in Philly, says he was late because he was “busy watching YouTube videos of Jalen Hurts losing in the playoffs.”

Johnson addressed the crowd by saying, “Are you booing because The Rock was supposed to be here at 4 O’clock? Is that why you’re booing?” The wrestler kept everyone on their toes by answering everything as slowly as possible. “You wanna know why The Rock was late?” said Johnson and revealed, “He was watching YouTube, watching Jalen Hurts lose in the playoffs again!” said the WWE superstar as he got the crowd riled up.

But it’s not something new that The Rock pointed out about Hurts’ playoff performance. He has showcased nothing but sub-par numbers when it really matters.

The Eagles QB lacks playoff oomph
This is not an opinion, but his numbers prove it. Hurts is 2-2 when it comes to playoff wins. Moreover, records show that the QB recorded 4 touchdowns, 2 interceptions, and 6 sacks during his playoff appearances. Also, during playoffs, he has a 62.3% pass completion rate for 837 yards.

Robbie Gould, the place kicker for the 49ers said this about Hurts, “If you make Jalen Hurts play quarterback, you’re going to have a pretty solid day on defense.” But these disappointments have haunted the QB since his college days.

When he played for Oklahoma back in 2019, he took the team to the semifinals before losing to the LSU, completing just about 50% of his passes. With the Eagles rostered a bit bolstered this year, hopefully, Hurts and his entourage do a little better. What’s your take on Hurts’ playoff story?
