“Mom and Baby Are Doing Good”: Sean McVay Delivers Good News Before Cowboys War

Amid five players’ doubtful situation, coach Sean McVay still has a reason to smile. The Los Angeles Rams played well in the last season, however, this season, they appear to be struggling to add more wins to their records. So far, this season, the Rams hold a 3-4 loss record.

Now, the team is heading toward their Week 8 matchup at AT&T Stadium on Sunday, October 29 at noon. They will be facing the Dallas Cowboys, who are with a 4-2 winning record and are sitting in second place in the NFL NFC East standings, after the Philadelphia Eagles. However, ahead of the matchup, Rams’ coach Sean McVay revealed the injury report and also took the opportunity to announce beautiful news about his new addition to the family.

The Rams 37-year-old coach Sean McVay and his wife, Veronika, welcomed their first child on Tuesday. They named their newly born baby boy – Jordan John McVay. Taking the opportunity to share his happiness with the world, McVay in a recent press conference, when revealing the injury status of the Rams’ players, shared that he feels “blessed” after the arrival of the baby. He added, “Mom and baby are doing good and ready to get back at it and she gets to take care of all the fun stuff right now, so it’s what a blessing what a cool thing.

Earlier, McVay also praised his wife for handling the process so well and also acknowledged doctors’ and nurses’ help during this period. Earlier last Friday, the coach announced that Veronika was due with the baby and “any day” she would experience labor pain. And now the baby has been born, it is speculated that McVay might miss the Week 8 game against the Dallas Cowboys, to spend some time with the baby boy.

However, before any further confirmation, and ahead of the matchup, McVay released the injury report of Wednesday.

Sean McVay and the Rams released their first injury report ahead of the matchup against the Cowboys. DT Larrell Murchison (knee), LB Ernest Jones (knee) OLB Byron Young (knee), DB Russ Yeast (hip), and WR Ben Skowronek (Achilles) are listed under limited participants. Most of the players among them were from the previous week, with Yeast and Young being the two notable additions.

Furthermore, TE Hunter Long (hamstring) fully participated in Wednesday’s practice. Meanwhile, on the Cowboys side, there is only one player listed under injury report, with S Juanyeh Thomas (hamstring), who too, took full participation on Wednesday.

Besides these injuries, now, Sunday will reveal the winner of the showdown, as history indicates the teams have met 37 times, including 9 postseason games. And the Cowboys are leading with a 19-18 record over the Rams, which isn’t a big difference in points.
