It’s a bad time to be a Broncos fan. After the devastating 19-8 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday Night Football, they retained their bottom position in the AFC West division at 1-5. Things are looking difficult for Denver as they have tougher challenges ahead. They are set to face off against the Chiefs again on October 30 and the Buffalo Bills on November 14. Amidst all the gloom, a former player chips in with why the Broncos are losing.

Seeing your former team start off a season with 1-5 is heartbreaking. Especially when you know that the team has performed miracles in the past. Tyler Polumbus, former teammate of Peyton Manning, took to X with why he believes the Broncos are doing so miserably.

Tyler Polumbus, a former Broncos OT, tweeted a picture of the SB 50 Championship Ring. It was captioned, “I would like to apologize to Broncos Country for selling our souls in 2015. The Broncos have never managed a winning season since then, with a score below 0.500 for eight years.

After their latest match against the Chiefs, they are on a 16-game losing streak against them. So, is it all doom and gloom for the Broncos?

Silver lining for the Denver Broncos

Analysts had predicted that the game at Arrowhead Stadium would be a blowout win for the Chiefs. However, they managed to score only 19 points with only one touchdown and the rest being field goals.

This is the Chiefs’ lowest points tally this season after their 17-9 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. And Kansas City probably has the strongest offense of any team in at least the AFC.

This shows that the Broncos’ defense had brought their A-game on October 12, and managed to keep the Chiefs’ offense at bay. But the Broncos offense completely shut down and cost the team their fifth loss.

Sean Payton was roped in to help fix the Broncos, and Russell Wilson’s $245 million contract was meant to restore Denver to its former glory. However, it now seems like a pipe dream with the Broncos set to face stiffer competition as the season unfolds.
