On Sunday night in week 7, the Philadelphia Eagles are going to battle against the Miami Dolphins. This is one of the most anticipated games of the season as both teams are showcasing their peak performance. In the NFL world, the Eagles have been given the edge over the Dolphins, even though the Eagles had to face a shocking defeat against the New York Jets last week, with a score of 20-14.

This is the opposite of what people were expecting, as Dolphins’ Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio has familiarity with the way the Eagles play and their tactics. However, Fangio stated that he has no intel on how to stop the Eagles’ offense.

Fangio started his professional coaching career in Philadelphia as an assistant for the Philadelphia Stars. He is also a huge fan of the Philadelphia Phillies. He worked with the Eagles for two weeks as a consultant in preparation for Super Bowl LVII. This should give him an edge in Sunday’s game.

However, Fangio claims that this is not the case at all. According to Fangio, he was giving more information than the Eagles gave him. He further stated, ‘You know, that’s kind of the way it turned out. So if there’s any advantage to be had, by me being there last year, it’s in their favor.’

This claim by Fangio was further supported by the Eagles, as their Head coach Nick Sirianni said, We didn’t give him all the secrets. It took longer than expected for Fangio to join the Dolphins as the defensive coordinator, as he was busy with his consulting contract with the Eagles.

The Dolphins’ running back, Raheem Mostert, said the Defensive Coordinator has yet to provide any tips in the offensive meetings. Yet Fangio must devise a strategy to stop the brutally dominating Eagles. On Sunday, it will be clear whether he gained any advantage during last year’s job with the Eagles.

Eagles or Dolphins: Who will win Sunday’s game?

Both the Eagles and the Dolphins are playing at their peak performance levels, with both teams holding a 5-1 record in the league after Week 6. While the Eagles lost their previous match against the Jets, the Dolphins brutally dominated the Carolina Panthers in their last game, winning with a score of 42-21. In the NFL world, this game is seen as a battle between equals, so there is a very low chance it will become a one-sided game.

The Dolphins are currently the number-one team in total offense, passing offense, rushing offense, and total scoring. They are playing a very fast-paced game this season. The Eagles’ defense needs to put in extra effort, as the Dolphins’ short and medium passing game might dominate the Eagles’ pass rush.

The Eagles are struggling with their passing game, but the biggest relief for the Eagles is that the Dolphins’ defense is arguably weak, especially this season. QB Jalen Hurts is a major reason for the Eagles’ red-zone struggles, with his touchdowns and interceptions both totaling 7. They are scoring touchdowns on 45% of their red-zone opportunities.
