Trevor Lawrence’s comeback countdown: Days of grit and braces

Trevor Lawrence took a hit during a crucial third-and-7 play, on the Indianapolis Colts’ 16-yard line with just 3 minutes and 10 seconds to go in a wild Week 6 showdown at EverBank Stadium. He clutched his left knee, and for a heartbeat, the Jaguars’ faithful held their breath. However, Lawrence walked it off but he was still sidelined for the rest of the game. The MRI results on Monday brought a sigh of relief — a sprain, not a season-ender. But the big question loomed: Will our star be ready to roll against the New Orleans Saints at the Caesars Superdome? The turf could be a wild card in this high-stakes game of dice.

Speaking to the media post-practice, Lawrence revealed he was counting the days till he could suit up for the Jaguars again. After all, it would mark Lawrence’s game start number 41.
