Gone are the glory days of the New England Patriots. When the Belichick-Brady duo would take the field, fans knew they were in for a win. But Brady has moved on, and Belichick has to make do with his successor, Mac Jones. And it seems like the legacy is too heavy to bear on his shoulders. It’s a Mac Jones problem

Several fans and analysts had opined that Mac Jones should be benched, in the run-up to Week 5. But Belichick did not listen. In their last 38-3 loss against the Detroit Lions, Mac Jones played one of the worst games of his career. The third-year QB completed just 12 of the 21 pass attempts that he made. He scored zero touchdowns and rewarded the Lions with 2 interceptions. Two of his turnovers resulted in touchdowns for the Lions.

Mac Jones matched the legend in just three years. His pick-six in the first quarter against the Saints was his fourth at Gillette Stadium. Fans had hoped that Jones would at least match Tom Brady’s legacy. But not in this way.
