Tua Tagovailoa is the hottest quarterback in the league, leading his team to three straight wins with dazzling displays of passing and running. He was the front-runner for the MVP award but then, everything came crashing down. As the Miami Dolphins look to bounce back from their first defeat by the Buffalo Bills, the already struggling defense of the Giants has been put on notice by Tua and Co.

The Dolphins looked unstoppable in their first 3 games but last week against the Bills, their AFC East rivals made them look ordinary in every department. The game ended in a thrashing by the Bills as they hosted the Dolphins, the final score 48-20. Now, the Dolphins with their star QB, will look to put all of that behind and have issued a warning to the Giants.

In football and life alike, one must face failures head-on. And that is exactly the sentiment that has been conveyed by the Dolphins management and coaches alike. It’s crystal clear that the players will respond to the needs of the hour and step up. Especially star players like Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill.

Tagovailoa had his worst game of the season, throwing for just one touchdown and one interception. While being sacked five times and losing a fumble. The Dolphins WR Hill on the other hand looked stuck in the mud. The speedster is known to be present in brilliant positions but couldn’t muster up any sort of support throughout the game. They will look to exploit the Giants’ already lackluster defensive capabilities.

The Giants have one of the worst defenses in the league. Allowing more than 30 points in each game, they are ranked 29th in the league. The Giants have been struggling on offense, scoring just 11.5 points per game. Their QB Daniel Jones, has been inconsistent and error prone but the Dolphins’ QB will have to step up to grab the win.

What to expect from the big battle on Sunday?

The 25-year-old QB faced his toughest test yet, a showdown with the Buffalo Bills, in which he came out on bottom. He has no time to dwell on it, though. He must move on quickly, as he faces another challenge on Sunday. The two teams have faced each other 10 times before. Regarding keeping their offense on on track, Giants’ head coach, Brian Daboll said, “Look, we just need to do a better job overall, collectively. Everyone involved in the offense. Whether it’s sacks, pass game, run game. We’ve got a lot of work to do.”

The Giants are hungry for a win after losing three of their first four games. It would be a feast since Tagovailoa’s top target would be none other than WR Tyreek Hill. The Dolphins will need Tagovailoa to play at his best level, as they face a tough challenge at home against a desperate Giants team. But again, the injury reports of both teams cannot be ignored. In the Dolphins’ 2020  NFL Draft, overall 5th pick Tagovailoa has to prove that he can bounce back from adversity and that he can learn from his mistakes. That he can lead his team to victory again.
