In an NFL showdown that could’ve put your heart in overtime, the New England Patriots and the Las Vegas Raiders duked it out at the Allegiant Stadium. It was a real nail-biter with the Raiders leading 21-17. Week 6 was where the scales were balanced at 3-3, but for the Patriots, it’s been a rough 1-5 journey. They’ve taken a beating, getting outscored a whopping 72-3, and watching a painful 69 consecutive points slip through their fingers in the last two games.

After facing two colossal losses to the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints. Mac Jones and the Patriots went on a treasure hunt for some much-needed luck against the Raiders. But it’s starting to feel like this season might not be their grand slam. Because even in the midst of a small victory, HC Bill Belichick and his Patriots found it tough to let loose and do their end zone dance.

In a valiant attempt to bounce back from their recent goose egg against the New Orleans Saints, the New England Patriots found themselves caught in the whirlwind that is the Las Vegas Raiders’ relentless blitz. The Raiders, true to their Allegiant Stadium turf, defended their home like gladiators. The Patriots, though, put up a fight, trailing hot on the Raiders’ tail at 17-19 with a mere two minutes left in the fourth quarter.

Sure, they were an upgrade from the previous two weeks. Even running back, Ezekiel Elliott decided to grace us with his first touchdown of the season. A Hail Mary during the Pats’ darkest hour. It was a morale boost the Patriots desperately needed. But in the end, it couldn’t patch up a 21-17 loss that dropped their record to a daunting 1-5.
