The New York Jets defeated the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. And this moment was historic for them. The Gang Green defeated Philly for the first time in 13 attempts with a stunning 20-14 victory. But, despite the shocking loss of the Eagles, they got a fan from someone who was associated with them for just two weeks.

Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Vic Fangio revealed a major attribute of the Eagles that can make the Birds’ fans happy. Although his tenure with the team has ended, Fangio couldn’t stop himself from praising the Eagles. But what did the 65-year-old say?

The Philadelphia Eagles will take on the Miami Dolphins in their next Week 7 matchup on Sunday, October 22, at 8:20 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field. But ahead of the game, Tua Tagovailoa‘s team’s defensive coordinator recalls his experience with the Philly and shares that his favor will be forever for the Eagles. According to a report, “Dolphins DC Vic Fangio says Eagles have more of an edge after he consulted with them before Super Bowl.”

Fangio was hired as the unofficial consultant for the Eagles team last year to prepare them to play against the Kansas City Chiefs at Super Bowl LVII. Probably, that’s the reason why he is supporting the Eagles.

But now the doubt is, as the DC knows in-and-out of the team, including about their quarterback Jalen Hurts, would he have an advantage in their next meet-up? Clearing this doubt, the 65-year-old highest-paid coordinator replied, “You know, not a lot because I was giving them more information than they were giving me. You know, that’s kind of the way it turned out. So if there’s any advantage to be had, by me being there last year, it’s in their favor.

Moreover, he praised Hurts, calling him the man with no weaknesses and saying that, according to him, he works like a strength for the 25-year-old QB. However, his clean sentiment towards the Eagles doesn’t come from him being the consultant for the team; it comes from his roots too.

The Dolphins’ defensive coordinator, Vic Fangio, hails from the Philadelphia area. His first football career started with the Philadelphia Stars of the USFL. Recalling his past, the ex-coach of the Denver Broncos, Fangio, called himself a diehard fan of all sports teams from Philadelphia. Furthermore, he shares something crazy about his actions, which clearly indicates how big of a Philly fan he was.

In the same interview, Fangio said, “When the Phillies were on the West Coast and it’d be late at night, I had a transistor radio in my bed, and I’d listen to the game on the radio. Richie Ashburn. So I was a diehard Phillies fan and Eagles fan growing up.” Besides being a Philly fan, Fangio also revealed that he liked the team’s head coach, Nick Sirianni. According to him, Sirianni is doing well with the team and is focused and open towards them.
