Jalen Hurts is facing criticism this time. After previously referring to Jalen Hurts as the man with no long-term future and the person who can’t throw the football, Shannon Sharpe got another opportunity to revisit his past statements.

The NFL Week 6 is underway. Among many games, one of the matchups featured the Philadelphia Eagles facing off against the New York Jets on Sunday, October 15, at 4:25 p.m. ET. The outcome and performance were genuinely surprising for Eagles fans. And amid all the criticism, the Eagles’ quarterback, Jalen Hurts, appears to be the focal point of Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe’s critique.

The Eagles lost to the Jets 20-14. Quarterback Jalen Hurts didn’t have his best game today, and the team’s offensive coordinator seemed to be struggling as well. Observing this, Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe took his frustration to Twitter and shared his criticism. Sharpe tweeted, “Hurts, WTF was that?” About an hour later, he tweeted again, “I know I’m stating the obvious, but Hurts was awful 2day and hasn’t been sharpe all season.

He continued, “I stated this earlier this season, was labeled a H8R. When all u look at are record/destination and not the warning signs as you go. You get tripped up.” Sharpe’s frustration with Hurts was evident, especially when the 25-year-old threw his third interception late in the fourth quarter, setting up a go-ahead touchdown by Breece Hall. Hurts completed 28 of his 45 passes for 281 yards and one touchdown to D’Andre Swift, along with a rushing touchdown in the game.

The New York Jets made history by defeating the Philadelphia Eagles for the first time in franchise history after 13 previous attempts. This victory marked the end of a long-standing losing streak, making it a significant moment in the league’s series history. Despite scoring just 10 points off four takeaways, the Jets managed to secure a 20-14 win against the Eagles. On the other hand, the Eagles committed four turnovers, leading to their first loss of the season and their most lackluster performance of the year.

A pivotal moment in the game occurred when Tony Adams, called up from the practice squad, intercepted Jalen Hurts with just two minutes left. Adams advanced the ball into the Eagles’ territory, setting up the Jets for a game-changing play. The Jets capitalized on this opportunity, scoring a crucial touchdown with a rush by Breece Hall. A successful two-point conversion extended their lead to 20-14 with 1 minute and 46 seconds remaining. The Jets’ victory was remarkable given their offensive struggles, converting only two of 11 third-down attempts and one of four red-zone opportunities. Nonetheless, they secured their first-ever win against the Eagles.
