Jake Paul’s recent bout with Tommy Fury has left a bad taste in his mouth. The fight ended up being decided by a ‘split decision’ and since then Paul has been doing some soul searching. Paul is even considering taking a page out of the footballing legend Aaron Rodgers‘ book. Rodgers earlier went into a four-day “darkness retreat”, contemplating between retirement and asking for a trade from Green Bay Packers. Jake Paul has similar intentions as he felt he had one of the ‘worst training camps’ leading up to the fight.

Since then, Jake Paul has been taking things slow and has engraved himself in the valuable company of family and friends.

Jake Paul’s A-Rod connection

Jake Paul has more in common with Aaron Rodgers than many of us might realize. And no, its not necessarily about their athletic capabilities but rather their mental fortitude.

During an interview with Fox News Digital, Jake Paul said, “I think it’s always powerful to just take some time and see how everything unfolds, what the next steps are in terms of my boxing career in all that,”

His comments were oddly reminiscent of Aaron Rodgers’ approach after the 2022 season.

Paul went on to refer to Aaron Rodgers’ “darkness retreat”, and expressed his desire of doing the same. “It’s funny, I was planning on doing the darkness retreat later this year,” he added.

But that’s not it, as it turns out Jake Paul was Rodgers’ compatriot during his consumption of the psychedelic ayahuasca.

In a shocking revelation, Jake Paul further stated his connection with the QB. He said that he was with Rodgers when they di Ayahuasca. At the time, Rodgers described the process as one of healing, “We sat three different nights with the medicine. I came in with an intention of doing a lot of healing of other relationships and bringing in certain people to have conversations with.”

Turns out Jake Paul was one of those people, “Aaron and I were actually together when we did the ayahuasca, He’s more publicly known for speaking about it, but I was actually there with him when we did it. We spent the week there doing it.”

Paul went on to describe the similarities he shares with Aaron Rodgers, “Definitely share that similarity in terms of spirituality and reflecting and going into the deepest parts of the mind. Definitely have been doing some of that.”

Both Aaron Rodgers and Jake Paul have a certain degree of appreciation for their mental preparations, and while many choose to criticize them for it, the two of them certainly have results to show for it.
