Deion Sanders shows undying respect for Muhammad Ali

In a conversation with Jim Gray on Let’s Go! podcast, Deion Sanders opened up on how Muhammad Ali has impacted his life. Jim asked Sanders, “How much Muhammad Ali do you have in you? You make it so much fun but you’re serious when you have to be.Sanders replied, “I have one picture in my weight room back in Texas. It says ‘All I did was stand for what I believe.’ And that was from Muhammad Ali.

This statement alone explains what an important role the boxing legend had played in Sanders’ life. Muhammad Ali used to be Sanders’ greatest hero and it’s a bittersweet feeling hearing his voice light up when he talks about his fond memories with the boxer.  He waved me into his room at this big suite and he says ‘You, you’re a Godly man, right? Come on in here,’ Sanders continued. He also reminisced on how they talked about the Bible, the Holy Spirit, and inconsistencies.
