NFL Commissioner Held a ‘Let it Out’ Session Before Releasing the Video
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell released a video in support of the protests against racial indiscrimination and police brutality on Friday, June 5, 2020. The video also includes several players from NFL, who showed their support for the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement.
Meanwhile, on Friday evening, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell shared a video to state his support for the ongoing protests. Also, he apologized for not speaking till now. According to reports, the NFL commissioner decided to release a video and apologize after several players and an employee forced him to come ahead and talk about it.
A ‘Let it Out’ session in NFL

According to Peter King of NBC’s Football, it is reported that before Roger Goodell released a video; he held a meeting with all his employees. Also, M.J. Acosta and Steve Wyche of the NFL Network co-hosted the meeting.
Jerry Walker, who is an influencer and talent marketing manager for the league, stated that it was a “Let it Out” session. He elaborated that he was the first to speak during the Town Hall Session.

According to the report, Walker said that he engaged with his players and kept all his points clear in front of them. Further, 31-year-old Jarick Walker stated that NFL is the American sport that brings everyone together when disasters happen. He gave an example of 9/11 and when the sport brought the country together after Katrina.
Speaking in that session, he also said that the league as a whole should take steps to condemn racism. Later on in the evening, Roger Goodell came up with the video. He apologized to the NFL fans and all the people in the country for not speaking up till now. Goodell stated that the sporting organization is supporting all the protests against racial injustice and police brutality. Moreover, in the video, he promised to listen to everyone who are facing these problems.
