2021 NFL Draft: Twitter Reacts As the Dallas Cowboys Draft Linebacker Micah Parsons

For the Dallas Cowboys everything that could go wrong, did go wrong in 2020. Losing star QB Dak Prescott early on in the season, the franchise finished with a 6-10 record.

Finishing 3rd in the NFC East, the franchise had a season to forget under new Head Coach Mike McCarthy. But come 2021 and the Cowboys are looking to bounce back.

Locking down Prescott to a long-term contract, the franchise is looking to return to winning ways this upcoming season. But to do that they need to focus on their defense as well.

And that is exactly what they did by drafting Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons.

Dallas Cowboys looking to get better on defense

Regarded as the best defensive player in the 2021 NFL draft class, Parsons is a major impact player. An elite pass rusher, Parson sheds opposition blockers with ease to sack QBs.

Cowboys fans knew that the side needed reinforcements on defense. And they couldn’t have gotten anyone better in this season’s draft.

After being drafted, Parsons was asked whether he wore a blue suit to match the colors of the Dallas Cowboys. The linebacker referred to a post he had made earlier where he had hinted at always wanting to join the Cowboys.
