NFL franchise Tampa Bay Buccaneers are experiencing what can be termed as the ‘Tom Brady’ effect after recent developments. The franchise recently declared that they are re-signing running back Leonard Fournette to a three-year, $21 million deal. Fournette’s deal is estimated to be worth up to $24 million with $11 million guaranteed, with additional performance incentives.

According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and ESPN’s Jenna Laine, the Buccaneers RB visited Brady’s old stomping ground in the New England Patriots. While speculations are rife about Fournette using them to coax Tampa’s contract offer, it worked flawlessly.

QB Tom Brady’s return has changed the fortunes of the Buccaneers franchise in a way that many fans were counting upon.

It also means the reunification of ‘Terrific Tom’ and ‘Lombardi Lenny‘, which will be an encouraging sight for the fans. The friendship began when he stepped up during their 2020 Super Bowl run while generating 812 rushing yards and 8 TDs on 180 carries.

During their injury-hit 2021 campaign, he was the driving force as he caught 69 passes for 454 yards and 2 TDs. The re-signing of Fournette was a crucial move for the franchise, which lacked players in his position.
