Aaron Rodgers waited nine years before finally getting his hand on the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am championship trophy. And he did not miss this opportunity to impress fans with his Golf skills. However, there are certain players who think that the quarterback got an unfair advantage in the tournament.

Keith Mitchell, who partnered with Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, placed fourth in the amateur category. And he didn’t think Aaron’s team deserved to win. Moreover, Josh Allen didn’t completely disagree with his teammate either. But A-Rod is keeping the trophy close to him regardless of the negativity surrounding his victory.

Keith Mitchell’s problem with the Aaron Rodgers win

The alleged advantage for the Green Bay Packers quarterback, according to Mitchell, was the padded handicap. Aaron Rodgers played as a 10 in this tournament and got an amateur’s edge based on their current form and past performances. This didn’t sit well with many who knew A-Rod to be a low single-digit.

I think Josh and I won. Aaron Rodgers doesn’t count. His handicap was c–p. I haven’t looked. When we were on 18, we might have been up there, but if we finished second to Aaron, I consider us winning the trophy,” Keith Mitchell said on Sunday.

Although not as vocal, Keith’s partner and Rodgers’ fellow quarterback from the NFL, Josh Allen, also wasn’t particularly happy with how things ended, calling it an asterisk win.

No 12 paired up with media executive Ben Silverman to get their names up on the esteemed wall of champions at Pebble Beach. They beat Peter Malnati and former CEO & FedEx Executive Don Colleran to clinch the prestigious honor. However, Josh Allen and Keith Mitchell only managed the fourth spot.

And Josh even tried to interrupt Aaron Rodgers’ victory press conference.

I wish I got ten shots. Maybe we’d be on top too. I only got nine,” Allen said before engaging in some healthy banter with 4x NFL MVP Rodgers.

A-Rod doesn’t care and is spending some quality time with his championship trophy. Despite Josh Allen telling Rodgers that there will be an “asterisk by this win because there were only three rounds,” Aaron thinks their names will live on for a long time in the championship wall.

About his NFL future, the QB will decide things after an isolation and self-reflection period next week. And the NFL world has to wait.
