On December 15, Omaha Productions made a big announcement about the Hall of Fame quarterback via an Instagram post. Turns out, Montana and other 49ers icons will gather at the Orpheum Theatre for a special event, “Night of Champions,” on February 3, 2026. The lineup includes wide receiver John Taylor, safety Ronnie Lott, cornerback Eric Wright, fullback Tom Rathman, and offensive tackle Harris Barton

“Hear stories from their Super Bowl season and so much more before #SBLX,” the post’s caption reads.

As hinted, the central theme of the event will be the most memorable Super Bowl in the 49ers’ history, Super Bowl XXIV (1990). The players in the lineup for this event were part of the winning squad when the team crushed the Denver Broncos 55-10. It was the largest margin of victory ever in the history of the NFL, making the win even more special. And guess what? Joe Montana wreaked havoc that day with a five-touchdown performance.

So, fans can expect these football giants to share candid stories from that iconic season. ESPN broadcaster Chris Berman will moderate the session to ensure smooth flow. Meanwhile, the event is presented by Visa and BroadwaySF and is part of Super Bowl week in the Bay Area. It precedes Super Bowl 2026 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on February 8.

Tickets will be available first to Visa cardholders on December 17, before being made available on the company’s official website on December 18. The announcement comes just days after Joe Montana shared another major career update.

Joe Montana bottles 49ers history with the latest career update

The 49ers legend took to Instagram on Sunday to unveil the Gold Bar Whiskey Retro Edition. The special release celebrated 40 years of the 49ers’ iconic Super Bowl XIX victory in 1985. In the clip shared with the post, Montana reflected on the big moment, which defined his career and established him as the franchise’s powerhouse.

“We’re celebrating 40 years since the Niners’ 1985 Super Bowl 19 win with this upgraded 85 proof bourbon,” he said.

In the historic game, the 49ers secured a 38-16 win over the Miami Dolphins at Stanford Stadium. The championship game also featured Montana’s memorable quarterback showdown with Dan Marino. Joe finished the game in his usual explosive way, throwing for 331 yards and scoring four touchdowns. The Retro Edition whiskey pays homage to that golden era. The bottle design is inspired by the gold satin jackets worn by the 49ers during the 1980s.

As for the liquor inside, it’s a blend of corn, wheat, rye, and barley, creating a smooth and balanced flavor. The distillation process lasts for four years before it is stored in wine barrels. The whiskey is available in five designs and has a limited supply. Montana encouraged his fans to check with local liquor stores or order online while supplies last. At last, he closed his post with a clear reminder:

“Must be 21+. Stay Golden. Enjoy Responsibly,” he added.

This was more than a product launch, and it actually allows Joe Montana to bottle a piece of 49ers history.
