The NFL legend Shannon Sharpe was recently involved in a lawsuit. A former QB, Brett Favre, filed a lawsuit against Shannon Sharpe, Pat McAfee, and Shad White. He accused the three individuals of making ‘false and defamatory statements’ about him. However, things did not end up in Favre’s favor because Sharpe had to win it with style.

The lawsuit was basically about a comment Sharpe made in Skip and Shannon: Undisputed. They discussed Favre’s relation to a welfare misspending scandal. And Sharpe criticized the former QB, stating some really harsh facts about him. Offended, Brett Favre decided to sue Shannon Sharpe but was terribly defeated by the legend.

Shannon Sharpe earns victory over Favre’s lawsuit
Shannon Sharpe stated that Favre “stole money from people that really needed that money.” A federal judge dismissed Favre’s lawsuit, ruling that Sharpe used ‘constitutionally protected speech on a broadcast where he made these comments.’ And unless Brett Favre appeals the ruling, the case is over. Victorious Shannon Sharpe then went ahead to express himself on social media.

Shannon Sharpe was perhaps confident that he would win the case because he had not done anything wrong. He also stands by Pat McAfee and his opinion that Fvare actually stole money from the public. A pending civil lawsuit proved it, too.

Did Brett Favre actually steal money from the citizens?
A pending civil lawsuit has alleged that Favre actually stole the money indirectly by making the wrong use of federal welfare funds set aside for Mississippi. Of course, the judge knew that “no reasonable person . . . would think that Favre actually went into the homes of poor people and took their money—that he committed the crime of theft/larceny against any particular poor person in Mississippi.”
