Kylie Kelce knows the power of sports — not just for building strength, but also for building confidence. Which is why she teamed up with NWSL champions Gotham FC and Dove’s Keep Her Confident initiative. Their mission: tackle a heartbreaking statistic – 1 in 2 girls quit sports during adolescence because of body image struggles. Standing on the field in her Gotham jersey, Kylie delivered a message as real as the sprinklers soaking her mid-interview: “Sports teach girls to appreciate what their bodies can do, not just how they look.”

The timing couldn’t be better. Gotham FC is riding high after their incredible 2023 championship season, possibly the greatest turnaround in NWSL history. Where they went from last place to lifting the trophy in a thrilling 2-1 final against OL Reign before a record crowd. With championship MVP Midge Purce’s heroics and new USWNT signings like Rose Lavelle joining the roster, they’re proving women’s soccer is must-watch entertainment. Under coach Juan Carlos Amoros’ leadership, the team has established the strongest defensive performance in club history. At the same time, they have maintained their attacking flair. But for Kylie, it’s about more than wins—it’s about making sure young fans see themselves represented. These athletes are the women my girls will look up to, she told ESPN, her voice filled with genuine admiration.

Back in Philadelphia, someone was watching with pride. Jason Kelce couldn’t resist sharing the ESPN clip on X  with his trademark mix of support and humor: “Sports build character, way to go Ky!” followed by three drooling-face emojis. The retired Eagles center, who’s never shy about cheering on his wife, proved once again why their relationship is #CoupleGoals. While Kylie Kelce attended the Gotham FC match solo, Jason still made sure his virtual presence was felt. He added his signature playful touch.

At home, the Kelces are raising their four daughters – Wyatt, Ellie, Bennett, and baby Finn. They want them to embrace that same team spirit. Jason recently admitted to Us Weekly that fatherhood has been a learning curve. He grew up with just a brother. I was not around a lot of young girls,” he confessed. Kylie jokes that the universe gave them four daughters so Jason could finally “get it. “But watching him with their girls, it’s clear he’s all in. He cheers at Wyatt’s first sports activities and changes diapers with the same enthusiasm he once showed on the football field.

Kylie’s work extends far beyond the soccer field. At home with Jason and their four daughters, she’s putting those same confidence-building lessons into practice every day. And for the Kelces, raising empowered girls isn’t just a mission – it’s their greatest play.

Kylie Kelce’s playbook for raising confident kids on and off the field

Kylie Kelce is preparing to send her oldest daughter, Wyatt, off to kindergarten this fall. She’s facing the universal mom dilemma – equal parts excitement and anxiety. You’re about to go to school, touch every surface and lick your hands, she tells TODAY.com with a laugh, acknowledging the inevitable peak school colds to come. But more than worrying about germs, Kylie’s focused on the lessons she and Jason have instilled in their social butterfly daughter: You hope they’re kind to their peers… You hope that they’re respectful of the teachers.”

This back-to-school season hits especially close to home for Kylie, whose partnership with Dove’s Body Confident Sport program aims to help girls like Wyatt grow up feeling secure in their skin. Having been the tall girl with thicker legs in school herself, Kylie knows sports transformed how she saw her body. I’m so happy to tell other girls that what you might see as a negative could help you in ways you can’t imagine, she says. That message comes to life in Dove’s Fans of Confidence film, where Gotham FC players surprise young athletes with sideline cheers – a powerful reversal of typical fan dynamics.
