On the latest episode of the Up & Adams show, the host Kay Adams brought on Matthew Hamacheck, director of The Dynasty. The two dove deep into the alleged turmoil in the relationship between the legendary duo of Belichick-Brady that dominated the NFL for almost a decade. Hamacheck spoke up about the controversial deflate-gate incident and connected the dots on how Jimmy Garoppolo’s arrival damaged the coach and his gem’s equation.

Hamacheck presented his thoughts and said, “And he [Brady] is accumulating all these Super Bowls and then the deflategate happens, and everybody sort of coming after him. I mean rightfully so, coach Belichick drafted his replacement in Jimmy Garoppolo. That is a story in the NFL as old as time. And as Belichick says, “Age is age,” and then you have another quarterback in Tom Brady who basically says that I’m playing until I’m 45 and I’m gonna be an exception to the rule and that sort of is the beginning of the tension in the relationship.”

Brady talked about Belichick and said, “Me and coach Belichick, we did what we loved and competed for 20 years together. But I wasn’t going to sign another contract even if I wanted to play until 50. Based on how things had gone, I wasn’t going to sign up for more of it.” Thus, even if they had their dark times, which eventually brought an end to their dynamic at the Patriots, they will be remembered in history forever for everything they accomplished and the 7 rings they don on their fingers.
