ACC Championships took to Instagram on March 31st to announce their upcoming golf tournament with a series of pictures featuring celebrities playing golf. As per their announcement, NFL legends Aaron Rodgers, Jerry Rice, and Charles Barkley will be attending the tournament as contestants.

The tournament has a rich history of featuring celebrities from various domains, such as music, entertainment, and other popular sports like the NBA, NFL, NHL, and MLB. It started 34 years ago, boasting big names like Stephen Curry, Patrick Mahomes, and Josh Allen. This year will be no different, as the tournament is ready to produce a fight on the golf field between 80+ celebrities. ACC Championships announced on their official Instagram account the 35th edition of their annual tournament and gave a sneak-peak of their contestants. The pictures were uploaded with the caption, “Northern California sports stars return this July with Jerry Rice, Steve Young, Aaron Rodgers, Joe Pavelski, Derek Carr, Charles Woodson, and Robbie Gould. No fooling tickets go on sale tomorrow, April 1.

The tournament will be held at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course, Nevada, from July 10th to July 14th. NBC Sports will broadcast it and aims to raise funds for multiple charities. Even though the tournament has an altruistic motive, it will offer $845,000 as prize money, with the first-place holder receiving $600,000.

It features stars from various industries, including sports, music, and entertainment, like Baker Mayfield, The Miz, defending champion Stephen Curry, Miles Teller, Derek Carr, Tony Romo, and many more. So far, ACC has announced 35 players for the tournament but expects more than 80 players for the 54-hole tournament, which will be available for fans too.

Fans can buy tickets online to see Jerry Rice and Aaron Rodgers play golf

Fans can buy tickets to watch their favorite stars play golf. The tickets will be priced at $40 for Wednesday and Thursday’s practice rounds. For the game days starting Friday, the tickets will be priced at $50 each, but fans can even buy a Ground badge for $150 to witness the live-action on all five days. However, the tickets are available online on Eventbrite.com from Monday onwards.

The event organizers have also issued a cautionary note for the audience members who are interested in watching the game. They stated, “More players will be announced after they sign on for the event. With the fluid nature of celebrities’ schedules, some confirmations may be at a future date, and some late changes can be expected.” Since the tournament includes non-professional Golf players, the tournament is expected to undergo last-minute changes and you may or may not see your favorite star despite an early declaration.
