NBA has just triggered the entire sports world with an astonishing $35,000 fine on Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid. Pat McAfee took to social media to express his shock at how the NBA handles players’ misbehaviors. But did Joel Embiid really deserve that fine?

The Cameroonian basketball player joined the 76ers in 2014 and has become a star player for the team. Following a score, the 2023 NBA MVP flaunted a WWE celebration gesture. This crude celebration style drew the attention of many people, including WWE star Triple H, who is the original man behind the gesture.

On Sunday, the 76ers won against the Trail Blazers 126-98. Star player Joel Embiid made the “crotch chop” to celebrate after his layup hit in traffic, drawing an and-one. In response to a tweet by Shams Charania on Joel Embiid’s fine for his D-Generation X/Triple H celebration, Pat McAfee posted, “This one gesture went from in-school suspensions to $35,000 fines.

Joel Embiid once again stirred social media with his D-Generation X/Triple H style as he scored a winning victory over the Trail Blazers. But the celebration was short-lived because he will have to pay a heavy sum of $35,000 as a fine for his WWE “Suck It” imitation on the basketball court. Needless to say, the NBA officials didn’t quite understand why the obscene scene applies to basketball.
