Former Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown, known for his controversial exit from an ongoing game, continues to make waves in the NFL community. His provocative posts and biting remarks about players and celebrities consistently make headlines. This time, Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott and former wide receiver Stefon Diggs find themselves at the receiving end of Brown’s relentless trolling, a significant event in the NFL news cycle.
Diggs made one of the biggest trade speculations this offseason after his dismal performance last season. Before the trade, the 30-year-old was already posting cryptic posts online that suggested his discontent with the Bills with phrases like “Ready for whatever.” And after the recent Bills episode on trading Diggs to the Houston Texans, Antonio Brown found a ground to roast Diggs and Sean McDermott.

After heated tension between Stefon Diggs and the Bills, Sean McDermott said of Diggs during his interview with WIVB’s Heather Prusak, “I love Stef and he was a phenomenal player.” A lot of speculation arose from fans with the word “was,” and it was all confirmed when he was eventually traded to the Texans. Interestingly, Brown made a correct second prediction of Diggs’ trade to Houston by posting an edited photo of him in a Texans uniform on CTESPN after his first accurate prediction of Russell Wilson’s Steelers landing. But why isn’t Diggs welcome in Buffalo anymore?

Shannon Sharpe told Chad Johnson on his previous Nightcap show regarding Diggs’ trade, “They’ll tolerate you till they can replace you… He’s on borrowed time, because it’s always something with him.” Right from Week 1 of the 2023 season, Diggs already stepped on the wrong foot of the Bills QB Josh Allen, who snapped at Diggs in the locker room, saying, “It’s one f***ing game” after they lost their season-opener to the New York Jets.
Another incident highlighting Diggs’ passive demeanor was during their playoff game against the Cincinnati Bengals last season. He left the locker room abruptly before the team could gather for a post-game debrief, a behavior that didn’t sit well with the team. Diggs made crucial mistakes in the Divisional Round, including a fumble and a dropped pass, further contributing to the decision to trade him. These factors, along with others, led to the culmination of the decision to trade Diggs in exchange for a 2025 second-round pick, providing readers with a comprehensive understanding of the situation.
