The election season is here. And everyone’s declaring their choice. The NFL world is swirling with the announcements. A few days back, Taylor Swift and more than 50 coaches and players endorsed Kamala Harris. Donald Trump is second to none in popularity. And he got the support of one of the most iconic quarterbacks in the league ever, Brett Favre.

He has been showing love to Trump for the past many years. And extended support to the former President’s latest decision. Trump recently announced that he would talk to billionaire Elon Musk to get star link communication system for North Carolina areas affected by Hurricane Helene. Favre reposted the video on his X account.

His continuous support for the former president isn’t liked by many NFL fans. Some of them are more concerned about his health. Favre got injured multiple times during his 2-decade long football career. He once claimed that he suffered more than a thousand concussions. Shocking, isn’t it?

Those football injuries have impacted Brett Favre. During a recent congressional hearing, he revealed that he has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s. This brought in support for the legendary quarterback from various players. Aaron Rodgers, Mike McDaniel, and many more extended supported him in his battle against the disease.

However, not everyone is worried. Some don’t like him. Only because he supports Donald Trump.

Brett Favre trolled for supporting Donald Trump

A few days back, the Gunslinger tweeted, “If you’re born in the USA or an American citizen and you put other countries above us, then that’s unpatriotic. That’s it.” Though many people agreed with his stance, many also differed. Some of them started criticizing him.

YouTuber Brian Tyler Cohen attacked Brett Favre and responded by writing, “Wild to be lectured about patriotism by the guy who just stole $1 million in welfare funds from the poorest people in his state.” That’s a pretty mean jibe. Authorities are investigating the charges. We’ll find out soon. While there’s a wave of sympathy for him because of Parkinson’s, many aren’t convinced.

Jenn Sterger, New York Jets game day host in 2008, once accused the quarterback of sending her lewd texts and photos. Though the matter has been settled, she hasn’t forgotten. And certainly hasn’t forgiven. After learning about Brett Favre’s medical condition, she tweeted, “I don’t wish bad things on anyone, but I know Karma never forgets an address.” That might be hard to digest for the legend.

One thing is for sure. As the elections come near, the support and hate will multiply manifold. Brett Favre is learning it firsthand. Stay tuned for more!
