Will Bill Belichick be fired? This question has been lurking around the minds of each Patriots fan for months. With a companionship of over 22 years with the Patriots, it’s tough to bid adieu to someone. Moreover, the coach has been through each up and down with the team since 2000, be it a dramatic first Super Bowl season in 2001, winning Super Bowl rings with legendary Tom Brady, to an intensely failing season like 2023.

And just like Belichick, Brady has seen each side of win-loss seasons as well. Along with this, the constant bad times of the Patriots won’t cease as the team faced their third straight 10-9 ugly loss against the Colts. Hence, amidst all the accusations of Belichick not performing well after Brady’s retirement, the talk of the town himself came to the aid of his old friend and head coach.

The once-star Patriots are facing one of the worst seasons ever. With an embarrassing score of 2-8, Belichick and Co. are highly struggling. Not to mention, this is also the team (and head coach) that led the Patriots to multiple Super Bowls. Addressing this, Brady, in the latest episode of ‘Let’s Go’ opined on the current strategy of veteran coaches. As per Brady, “You got to change your strategy.” Along with this, Brady also feels “They’re just having a tough stretch, just not playing with the kind of confidence that you’ve always seen.” His main point here is “I don’t think he’s coaching a different now than the way he coached when we were undefeated.”

Well, no one can deny it now that it is coming from TB. Advocating more for his team, Brady further continued to explain how it is unjust to point fingers at someone when losing is a team’s responsibility. Both losses and wins are a team’s collective responsibility, as per Brady. However, Brady’s arguments won’t be the only ones shielding the Patriots head coach from the fans this season, or their speculations of him getting fired to be specific.
