Dick Butkus, the NFL legend, tragically passed away on the 5th of October, 2023. He was one of the best players the NFL ever produced. The man who led the Chicago Bears for over 8 years will rest in power as the community keeps him in their prayers.

The 80-year-old NFL Hall of Famer has left behind broken hearts due to his demise. One of the greatest linebackers ever, Butkus ranks on the list of the top 25 players in the NFL, and for all the right reasons. On September 26, 2023, Butkus tweeted about the ‘TackleObesity’ challenge and encouraged people to visit the website to participate in it. What’s interesting to see are the first few words of the tweet that says, “It’s time to take care of your health… and yourself!!!” His loss comes 10 days later after the tweet and the fans think that maybe the Hall of Famer predicted his passing somehow.

In response to the tweet, a user commented, “Would like to know more about your heart scan and what company that was.” The reply comes across as a sign of concern as Butkus was known to be suffering from poor health lately. No matter what happens, it’s easy to say that the NFL won’t ever be the same after Butkus’ passing. He left behind a legacy that will be tough to match up to even after several generations yet to come.
