Many jokes emerged during the Sunday night Netflix roast featuring Tom Brady at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum. Hilarious incidents took place, so much to keep Rob Gronkowski laughing about it for about three hours daily four days later. But while the roasts seemed off-limits, there was one person in particular whom the comedians aren’t supposed to joke about. 

Tom Brady reportedly didn’t want any jokes made at the expense of Robert Kraft, who owns his previous team. And when somebody threw that caution to the wind, he didn’t hesitate to put the comedian in his place. And that prevented any more jokes that had been otherwise brewing. 

Andrew Schulz confesses he had a tag for Robert Kraft before the intervention

Comedian Andrew Schulz revealed on YouTube’s FLAGRANT what happened on Sunday night at Tom Brady’s Greatest Roast of All Time on Netflix. The 40-year-old revealed how he had a joke tag up his sleeves for Robert Kraft before Jeff Ross walked up, delivered the massage joke, and got a warning from Tom Brady. Schulz took that as a signal to not make a joke about the CEO of the New England Patriots and said about Brady’s move, “It’s your night. He was ready to shut the whole thing down. That’s an alpha ass move right there.” 

Robert Kraft previously had an incident in 2019 where he was charged with soliciting a prostitute during massages at Orchids of Asia Day Spa. While the charge is cleared now, comedian Jeff Ross made it a tagline for his joke on Kraft and asked, “Would you like a massage?” As the crowd cheered on, Tom Brady walked up to where Ross was and said, “DON’T SAY THAT S**T AGAIN.” However, aside from this incident, a lot of jokes were made at Brady’s expense. 

Fun at the greatest roast of all time

For most of Sunday night, Tom Brady sat in his seat, taking savage digs from everyone: comedians to football entities. Some of the figures who were present include Nikki Glaser, Julian Edelman, and Randy Ross, among others. From his failed cryptocurrency venture to his divorce from Gisele Bündchen, he was the butt of jokes at the roast that left him squirming in his seat from time to time. 

While Robert Kraft is a featured figure at the roast, comedians still needed to hold themselves back from roasting him. But one rare thing that happened though. Host and Kevin Hart incited Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft to take a shot together. This is memorable because the two of them share a somewhat icy relationship. But they seemed to have embraced the moment with gusto.
