Russell Wilson has a lot swirling around him right now in the league. Yet the Giants quarterback still found time to pause and celebrate as former Seahawks wideout Brandon Marshall announced his engagement to girlfriend Kristen Jacques.

On Thursday, Marshall and Jacques shared their big moment with fans through a joint Instagram post. “love is too beautiful to be hidden ‘two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor.’ | ‭ecclesiastes‬ ‭4‬:‭9‬” Jacques wrote while posting photos from the proposal. Not long after, Wilson reposted it on his own IG story with a simple, heartfelt message: “Congrats God is Good.”

Wilson and Marshall played together on the Seahawks during the 2018 NFL season. But it wasn’t just Wilson who chimed in.

Soon after, former Rams star Aaron Donald also dropped his note of support. “Congrats,” Donald wrote on the post, adding his name to the growing list of NFL voices celebrating the moment. “Congrats brudda 🙏🏾,” said Sterling Shepard, Marshall’s old teammate from his Giants days. “Congrats My G,” added former NFL cornerback Brandon Flowers. “Congrats ❤❤,” wrote LeSean McCoy, the legendary running back and 2x Super Bowl Champion. One after another, former teammates and opponents made sure Marshall and Jacques felt the love.

This will mark Marshall’s second marriage. He was previously married to Michi Nogami. While Marshall and Jacques are clearly certain about their path forward, Russell Wilson finds himself in the middle of uncertainty.

Russell Wilson’s Giants future is in question

Russell Wilson could be traded after being benched for rookie Jaxson Dart. Sure, the Giants could keep him around as insurance, but a clean break might be the best option for both sides.

With Dart now taking over in New York, holding onto Wilson doesn’t make much sense. He still has enough left to start for a couple of teams that are desperate. And with the AFC North wide open, Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox pointed out, the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals might go for Wilson.

Although rumors of Wilson moving to Cincinnati have been doing the rounds, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor continues to trust Jake Browning while Joe Burrow sits out for most of the season. And Browning has been inconsistent at best, having not even hit the 150-yard mark in passing in his last couple of appearances. Adding Wilson could flip the script. With Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins on the outside, he’d have plenty of firepower. Plus, the cost to acquire him wouldn’t be sky-high. For Wilson, it’s a shot to shine again. For the Bengals, it’s a possible season-saver.

Then there’s Cleveland. The Browns just benched Joe Flacco for Dillion Gabriel, and the whole setup looks messy. Wilson even visited Cleveland in free agency but turned them down. Now, he could circle back and get some revenge. Imagine him in a Browns uniform, knocking off the Steelers. Cincinnati still looks like the best fit, but Cleveland can’t be ruled out.
