Heads up, MLB and NBA fans — the Playoffs just got a surprise twist. NFL Hall of Famer and Cowboys legend Michael Irvin has shifted his spotlight from the gridiron to the hardwood. And hold on, he’s bringing the heat courtside. These days, Irvin’s energy is locked in on the NBA postseason. He’s all in for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Last night, Anthony Edwards and the Wolves took down Stephen Curry’s Warriors in a high-voltage showdown. The arena was electric, and Irvin was right there in the middle of it. But it didn’t end with the buzzer. After the game, Irvin turned heads. He was seen with his long-time friend and MLB legend. After the game, he shared a three-word message to the legend. But, there is one more reason why he turned heads.
First of all, the MLB legend is none other than Alex Rodriguez. Irvin shared some time with his long-time friend Rodriguez, and coincidentally, the Timberwolves also won the night, just to make it special for the night. Actually, after the game, Irvin crossed some boundaries according to NBA fans and also received a backlash for the same. We will look into the backlash, but let’s dive into a three-word message for Alex Rodriguez.
Michael Irvin posted a picture with the MLB legend on Instagram after the Timberwolves-Warriors game. The Instagram post’s caption goes like, “Just want to thank my family brother and sister for taking great care of me last evening.” And said, “Love you guys” to Alex Rodriguez and his sister. Irvin also added, “Great Timberwolves win.” They ended the game with a 117-93 score on the boards. Some fans say that, because of Steph Curry’s hamstring strain in the 2nd quarter of game one, his absence changed the dynamics of game 2. But… there are no ifs and buts in sports- either you win or lose. With 25 more points, Anthony Edwards led the team to tie the series. Edwards was 34 minutes on the court and scored 20 points.

Though they won the game, a scary future looms as Anthony Edwards injured his left ankle in the second quarter and left the court. He injured his left ankle and walked off the court. But he came out of the sorrow of sitting on the sidelines and celebrated the win. And that’s when Irvin came to meet him. But why did he say thank you for taking great care of me to Alex Rodriguez?

Well, during the game, when the Timberwolves superstar Anthony Edwards met Michael Irvin, the Cowboys legend took a picture with him and crossed a line a little bit. He shook hands with Ant and just kissed his cheek, which was a shock to many people over there. Irvin was so happy that the Timberwolves tied the postseason series with the Warriors that he couldn’t control his happiness and showed some gratitude towards the future Hall of Famer.
But fans couldn’t spare Irvin for that bizarre attitude towards Anthony Edwards. He just invited a lot of backlash after the game.
