As the next Chiefs vs. Dolphins game is on the horizon, Germany is busy preparing itself. While this trip marks Patrick Mahomes’ first game in Germany, it is the Chief’s return to the country after 33 years. The Kansas City Chiefs played in Germany against the Los Angeles Rams for the first time in 1990 in the Olympiastadion in West Berlin where the team lost 13-9.

Originally set to take place in Frankfurt, the 1990 game’s venue changed to West Berlin because of the historic political developments prevailing during that time. This year, the first two Frankfurt games will be played against the Kansas City Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins. The upcoming game will change history if the Chiefs make it home victorious.
