The Dolphins are swimming in headlines of late. First, Tyreek Hill‘s run-in with the cops, and now, not even a week later, it’s the legend Reggie Bush playing hero. That’s the difference between the two headlines. The former Phin’s $5.6M LA-House was almost ‘robbed’. Almost. But that’s when the ex-running back rushed to stop it from happening.

Guess it was one of those situations where you can leave the gridiron, but the gridiron never leaves you. According to reports from TMZ, Reggie Bush’ “quick actions helped stop the crime before it really began.” So far, only one person’s involvement has been confirmed.

Authorities blitzed to Bush’s home around 11 PM after receiving reports from Enciso of an attempted break-in. Upon arrival, they discovered broken glass. Thankfully, hearing the Saints Hall of Famer’s scream, the suspects bolted, leaving without causing harm. Although, that doesn’t mean the threat is averted permanently.

What’s more frightening is the local outlet KTLA’s report: this isn’t a one-off play. Encino’s seen a string of home invasions this summer. At least eight in July alone! Some were as bold as a no-huddle offense, with multiple suspects breaking in broad daylight.

Back in 2019, a YouTube video gave fans a tour of Reggie Bush’s mansion, noting its state-of-the-art security and surveillance system. The description also noted that the estate had high walls and private gates. So, how did this happen? You have to wonder, is even high-tech security enough these days, especially for the celebs. Now, for Bush in particular, it’s even more important to make sure the security is tighter as he got the Heisman Trophy back.

Imagine how heartbreaking it would have been to have received the trophy after 14 years, only for it to get stolen. But it did not. Amen! However, Tyreek Hill could not get the close call he would have loved.

Reggie Bush and Tyreek Hill: When fame meets friction

Tyreek Hill was briefly detained before the Week 1 win against the Jaguars at Hard Rock Stadium. Why, you ask? Well, according to the Miami-Dade union, the ‘Cheetah’ just couldn’t resist flooring the gas. Detained for public safety, they said. Seems fair, right? Well, not quite.

What started as a routine stop turned into a whole cat-and-mouse game between Hill and the police. After the game, Hill made it clear he was “not disrespectful” and that his “mama raised him well.” No cuss words, no drama—at least from his side. But the PD had a different story.

“Mr. Hill was uncooperative. He was never under arrest, just detained for driving recklessly.” So, whose side are you on? Either way, it’s a reminder that even the biggest stars can’t outrun some real-world problems.

Between Reggie Bush and Tyreek Hill, one thing’s for sure: the celebrity status doesn’t shield you from the spotlight’s ‘not so ideal’ side. Bush and Hill are but two names on the list. No one’s immune to the fame game, no matter how fast they run.
