Tom Brady gets real about player requirements

In the latest episode on the Let’s Go podcast, the 5-time SB Champion revealed what he looks for in a teammate, crediting players who take the extra step to block for someone. He stated, “The guys who would do that were always getting more credit than the people who are actually throwing the ball and catching the ball. There was a great block by the running back, and that made me feel like ‘F*ck I can do anything with this guy. This is the guy and the guy I want to go into battle with.’”

Tom Brady also went on to say that a lot of players don’t want to step out of their required roles to back their teammates in blocking and it becomes a “frustrating experience” as “it’s not a fair fight if you got people taking place off.” The NFL GOAT also dropped a confession from his career in the NFL, stating the reason why his career with a few teams wasn’t “nearly as fine.” He revealed, “When players aren’t looking out for the whole team, you’re not going to have a degree of team success.”

Tom Brady’s golden advice on being a quarterback

The NFL suspended Steeler Damontae Kazee for the remainder of the game after his hit on Colts Michael Pittman Jr. led to a concussion. The suspension will continue to be in effect even if the Steelers make it to the postseason games. Several iconic figures have spoken out including Tom Brady who wrote on his IG, “To put the blame on the defense player all the time is just flat out wrong.”

It shouldn’t be the responsibility of your opponent to protect you.” Brady might have made this statement in 2021, but it’s an evergreen piece of advice from the NFL GOAT that every QB might need to consider.
