FOX shocked everyone when it threw $375 million at Tom Brady for a 10-year deal to be its top NFL voice, even though he had never called a game in his life. To make room, they pushed Greg Olsen aside, a guy who earned his spot and built trust with fans. Nevertheless, this year, Brady called the Super Bowl LIX between the Chiefs and Eagles, but let’s be honest – his start hasn’t been smooth. On the other hand, Olsen is now demoted to regional games, quietly watching it all unfold. And while it had to sting, he’s handled it with pure class.
And you know what’s the best part here? Greg Olsen does not have any grudges for Tom Brady. This is evident in a recent story post by the New England Patriots’ legend himself on his official Instagram account.
In this featured update, the 7-time Super Bowl champ beat the heat with a football passing game with his friends on a Miami beach. The boomerang video showed him from the back throwing the ball to his receiver, as he gave a detailed performance review on his favorite players in the caption.

Tom Brady tagged his best friend, Rob Gronkowski, along with close friends Julian Edelman and Greg Olsen. Reviewing their performance in the caption, he wrote: “@gronk supervising, @edelman11 (is) playing horrible defense, (and) @gregolsen88 making it look easy.” He clearly depicted that Olsen is just enjoying his time with his buddies, as he doesn’t hold any grudges against the football legend.
In the later part of the caption, TB12 even tagged FOX Sports, endorsing his and Olsen’s stint with the broadcasting channel. And not only that! Olsen has already made it clear that he respects Brady.

Did FOX make a mistake sidelining Greg Olsen for Tom Brady, or was it a smart move?

Greg Olsen has no hard feelings for Tom Brady?
When Tom Brady replaced Greg Olsen, the lead analyst felt demoted for sure. During an interview earlier, he stated, “I’ll be honest, it’s hard sitting home on the couch watching the games. You’re sitting there and you’re living and dying with every broadcast, and you’re sitting there and you’re dissecting everything that’s said and done, and ‘What would you have said?’ and ‘What would you have done?’ I’ve been very honest. My goal getting into this was to not just call regional 1 o’clock games and just be happy to be there…..To not do it anymore is hard. It’s not ideal.” However, with time, Olsen changed his mentality towards TB12.
During another interview, the former TE clearly revealed that he has no animosity with Tom Brady. He quipped, “I’ve talked to Tom regularly throughout the season. We’ve gotten to know each other really well. I have a ton of respect for him, which goes without saying, as a player. But I’ve really enjoyed getting to know him as a guy since he’s joined Fox. So, this whole narrative of I hate watching him call games and all that is not true.” That’s pure class!

Greg Olsen’s been nothing but solid. Fans still rally behind him, wanting him back with Kevin Burkhardt even after Tom Brady stepped in. Nevertheless, he didn’t just disappear – he kept showing up, doing the work, and somehow making magic from the “B” team spot. As a result, Olsen has already won two Emmys as Fox’s top guy and now, even after being bumped down, he’s up for another. That says a lot.
Meanwhile, Tom Brady, handed the top spot and a massive paycheck, didn’t even land a nomination. It’s awkward, no doubt. Fox chased a name, and in doing so, sidelined a guy who earned every bit of his place. But Olsen? He just kept being great.
