In the present NFL, Patrick Mahomes shines as the brightest star and is dominating his 7th season with the Kansas City Chiefs. Calling him the best quarterback in the league is not just common knowledge, it is an undeniable truth. Some may be oblivious to the fact that Mahomes isn’t just playing; he is orchestrating the NFL narrative.

Luck doesn’t gift you two MVPs, two Super Bowl triumphs, and an AFC Championship appearance in every season. Mahomes isn’t merely running the game; he’s redefining it with a vision that extends far beyond his already illustrious journey. Therefore, as the Chiefs gear up for their playoff game against the Bills, one former NFL legend put all his bets on Mahomes and his on-field prowess.

Recently, former 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman joined Skip Bayless on ‘UNDISPUTED’ to discuss his unwavering faith in Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs’ playoff prospects. He emphasized Mahomes’ exceptional playoff record and highlighted that only the GOAT,  Tom Brady, and Bengals’ QB Joe Burrow (who is temporarily on a hiatus due to a wrist injury) have handed the star quarterback playoff losses. “There are only two people who have ever made Patrick Mahomes lose at home in the playoffs, that’s Tom Brady who has done it twice, and Joe Burrow. Nobody else has done it. Nobody else,” claimed Sherman.

He pointed out that Josh Allen has beaten Mahomes in a regular-season matchup but is yet to do so in the playoffs. Sherman further expressed confidence in the Chiefs’ ability to elevate their game in crucial moments, citing Mahomes’ influence on his teammates. “He takes over Rashee Rice and Pacheco and Travis Kelce – everybody turns it up a notch and you look up and they’re somehow winning the game, and they’re in the AFC championship again,” Sherman explained. However, this isn’t the first time Sherman has backed Mahomes in a debate with Bayless, who happens to be a certified hater of Mahomes.

Sherman drew attention to Mahomes’ ability to perform under pressure and referenced the heartbreak of facing Mahomes in the Super Bowl. “That Super Bowl breaks my heart to this day. We had the No. 1 defense in the land and he went out there and threw strikes! He scored about 20 unanswered points… When he gets to the playoffs, he’s a bad, bad, bad man,” Sherman admitted.
